How rankings work, who Maya is, and what everyone can expect when we connect a customer with a Top Rated pro.
Rankings come from real, public Google ratings and review volume. As our own verified customer feedback accumulates (Maya checks in with every customer we connect after the work happens), that first party feedback becomes a second ranking signal. No business can buy that underlying rating-based score, and no badge is for sale. A business can separately buy an optional, clearly labeled Premium placement shown above the ranked list - see the next question for exactly what that does and does not change.
Maya is our AI concierge. She answers the chat on every page and the phone at (813) 454-0813, around the clock. She helps customers find the right pro, helps business owners claim and polish their listing, and connects the two directly when a customer asks for a callback.
Maya passes your name, number and request to the Top Rated pro you chose (or the top rated available pro in the category). We ask every pro to respond inside your window: ASAP means within one business hour. If they do not, we check in with you and line up another Top Rated pro so you are never left waiting on a promise.
A timely response. Leads come to you free with the customer's name, number, request and timeframe, and we ask you to confirm once you have reached out. Maya follows up with the customer on every connected lead after the work happens, and that feedback protects the rankings for everyone. Repeatedly ignored leads stop coming.
No. Listings are free, claiming is free, and the Top Rated 2026 badge is free for ranked businesses. Early claimants in each city also receive a free Premium upgrade: photos, your own description, video and your favorite reviews, front and center.
We confirm through a channel only the owner controls: answering the business phone number on file, replying from the business website domain, or a direct conversation with our team. Until that check passes, listing details cannot be changed by a claimant.
Yes, instantly. Reply STOP to any text and you will never receive another. Every consent we collect is logged, and we only ever text people who explicitly agreed on our forms.

A business's position in the ranked list comes from its real, public Google rating, review volume, and (once accumulated) its own verified customer feedback - not from payment. Separately, a business may buy a one-time Premium placement (or get it free with an After Hours AI plan): a labeled featured card with photos and video that displays above the ranked list. Premium does not change any business's underlying rating-based score, but it can mean a paying business's card appears first on that page, so we say so here rather than leaving it unstated.
No. The baseline rating signal does start from public Google ratings, but the network layers its own review system on top: a business names the specific customer and job, and that customer independently confirms it happened before anything is published. That two-sided attestation is the network's own first-party signal, separate from Google, and it grows into a second ranking input as more jobs get confirmed.
A Google search hands you a list and stops there. Maya actually contacts vetted, claimed pros on the customer's behalf and only connects the two once a pro accepts the job - there is no cost-per-click funnel or bidding war like Angi or Thumbtack in between, and a lead is never sold to multiple competing contractors at once.
