A quality floor. At least a 4.0 rating and 15 or more reviews to be listed at all.
Confidence, not just stars. A thin rating gets pulled toward the typical rating for its own category, in proportion to how few reviews back it up; a well-reviewed rating is trusted almost entirely as is. A 4.9 from 7 reviews is a weaker claim than a 4.5 from 890, and the order says so.
Recent counts for more. A five star review from four years ago is not evidence about the crew working today.
One customer, one voice, and a burst of reviews in a single day counts for less than the same reviews earned over a month.
Local means local. A business has to actually serve Las Vegas to be listed here. We measure the distance from the business to the city and drop the ones that are really in another market, which is why you will not see a clinic an hour away sitting above the one down the road.
The ranked order is not for sale. No business can pay to move up in the numbered list. Every position in it is earned on public ratings and review volume and nothing else.
